This month, our site spotlight is on Darkness into Light - an annual community-focused campaign featuring 200 walks across Ireland and abroad. Participants gather in the early hours of the morning to walk together into the sunrise, symbolizing hope for those who have been impacted by suicide and raising millions of euros for Pieta House.
The site facilitates a seamless registration and fundraising experience for thousands of supporters who can choose to take part in an official walk or run their own DIY fundraiser.
Utilizing our online events module and ticketed entry flows, the site offers registration with multiple ticket types, optional merchandise and multiple payment methods. Custom field validation on the registration flow ensures that accurate data flows through to the Salesforce integration for continuous, up-to-date registration and donation data.
The site caters for various international and regional requirements such as allowing payments in local currency, custom IP detection and multiple payment gateways such as Paypal and Apple Pay. The charities module is also enabled to allow for multiple partner charities to directly receive funds raised for walks in their respective regions.
Once a participant has registered, their logged-in dashboard allows them to buy additional tickets and merchandise, download fundraising resources like a QR code poster that links directly to their page, and access their unique participant pass.
The event is all about bringing communities together, so the team and organization modules are used to great effect to cater for different groups of fundraisers such as clubs, companies or schools. Strong messaging around impact and service values are also integrated throughout the site alongside consistent fundraising dollar handles, making the campaign goals clear and relevant for supporters.
