Bringing communities together to walk or run and accelerate progress towards a day where every woman diagnosed with either breast or ovarian cancer will be given the assurance that they can survive.
This month's site comes from our long-term partners at Mother's Day Classic, whose 2024 Walk/Run event took place on 12 May, 2024.
Each year the site grows with highly emotive user-generated-content in the form of their Tribute Wall, where dedications and messages of support are left by participants and well-wishers in the lead-up to the big day with the platform supporting over 85,000 people across 75 locations around Australia, with each location having a dedicated landing page, pricing, course information and more.
The site uses a range of modules in the Funraisin platform by operating as their brand website and utilising ticketing, waves for allocating capacity limits to starting times at event locations, teams, merchandise sales integrated into the registration flow and as a standalone Shop, automated fundraising page creation and nudges to assist the participant in successfully fundraising for the event, and 3rd-party fitness tools such as Fitbit, Strava and Garmin to automatically record training activities.
The participant's logged-in dashboard enables them to buy additional tickets, download personalized resources, send messages, invite a friend to their event, view their fundraising and fitness training progress and assist the participant in knowing what the average funds raised to guide them in their fundraising experience.
