CEO Sleepout leads the movement against homelessness.
In June each year, leaders in business, community and government will sleep without shelter on one of the longest nights of the year to help change the lives of Australians experiencing homelessness.
The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is one of Australia's most well-known and successful fundraising events. Participation is focused on CEOs and senior business & community leaders and this year celebrated a major milestone with its 15th Anniversary.
By visualising the impact each CEO has made through personalised stats shown directly on fundraising pages, Vinnie's can provide motivational incentives to drive donations and encourage repeat participation year on year. This year's event took on a hybrid format, including the option to participate remotely via a live stream broadcast for most states or in person.
A custom checklist within the CEO's dashboard clearly sets out the fundraising behaviours Vinnies wishes the participants to do - all of which contribute to the effectiveness to collect donations; uploading their profile pic, self donating, completing their personal details, joining a team and sharing their profile. Additional checklist items used for in-person attendance at their sleepout helps in managing the event itself (such as adding any dietary requirements).
Individuals from the same company are also displayed together on dynamically generated company pages, showcasing the contribution individual companies have towards the event.
Vinnie's CEO Sleepout smashed last year's event goal, setting themselves a new fundraising record. With a long history dating back to 2006, this year the team raised an incredible $9.2million, overshooting 2020 by $3.5million and eclipsing the 2019 pre-pandemic total.
